Pariser Platz 4a at the Brandenburg Gate receives BREEAM certification with an “EXCELLENT” rating

The office and commercial building at Pariser Platz 4a has been awarded the internationally renowned “BREEAM” sustainability rating in the “Excellent” category.

The “Excellent” certificate attests to the building at the Brandenburg Gate’s outstanding results in all ten assessment categories, from energy efficiency and resource conservation to the health and well-being of users. The building owes this to innovative solutions and pioneering technologies that significantly minimise the building’s ecological footprint while ensuring the highest quality of stay for users.

This award emphasises OFFICEFIRST Real Estate GmbH’s consistent commitment to the highest sustainability standards and the exemplary implementation of a comprehensive ESG strategy. BREEAM certification, developed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), is recognised worldwide as a rating system for the sustainability performance of buildings.

The high-quality office and commercial building has approx. 9,000m² of office and retail space as well as flats and is located on Berlin’s most important square with a unique view of the Brandenburg Gate. The American and French embassies, the renowned Hotel Adlon Kempinski and the Reichstag building are in the immediate neighbourhood.

Sustainability at the core of our strategy

The successful BREEAM certification of the Pariser Platz 4a property at the Brandenburg Gate is another important step in our ESG strategy. The aim is to certify our entire office portfolio with at least an “Excellent” rating by 2025. Sustainable use and management as well as BREEAM certification are key components of future property management and are also very relevant to the sustainability goals of the users. We are therefore delighted that one of our prestigious properties is now officially recognised as a sustainable and future-oriented property.
